Angels: Fuentes activated
The Angels activated closer Brian Fuentes from the disabled list after Tuesday's game. To clear roster space, they returned rookie reliever Francisco Rodriguez to triple-A Salt Lake.
In Fuentes' absence, Fernando Rodney converted all five save opportunities, retiring 15 of 16 batters. Nonetheless, Manager Mike Scioscia said he would return Fuentes to the closer role.
