Angels broadcaster Terry Smith to honor the late Rory Markas

If the Angels beat the Minnesota Twins in Monday night’s season opener in Angel Stadium, listeners of AM 830 will be treated to a familiar voice, that of former broadcaster Rory Markas, who died on Jan. 4 of a heart attack at age 54.

Terry Smith, Markas’ long-time broadcast partner, said he will introduce fans to Markas by saying, ‘I’m going to let Rory take this one.’ The radio station will then play a recording of Markas’ signature call: ‘Just another Halo victory!’
