Venus Williams advances to semifinals at Sony Ericsson Open
After struggling just to get into the quarterfinals, third-seeded Venus Williams had no problem advancing to the semifinal round of the Sony Ericsson Open, defeating sixth-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska, 6-3, 6-1, on Tuesday in Miami.
Williams, looking to win her fourth Sony Ericsson Open title, will play the winner of the quarterfinal match between Marion Bartoli and 12th-seeded Yanina Wickmayer.
On Monday, Williams took three sets before beating Daniela Hantuchova, 1-6, 7-5, 6-4, to advance to Tuesday's match.
