USC football: Taylor Mays, Everson Griffen among Trojans at Pro Day
USC players who have made themselves available for the NFL draft went through a battery of tests Wednesday at the Trojans' annual Pro Day workout for scouting personnel.
Safety Taylor Mays, whose 40-yard dash at the NFL scouting combine in February caused such a stir, did not run the 40 on Wednesday. Neither did receiver Damian Williams nor running back Joe McKnight.
Defensive back Kevin Thomas clocked the fastest 40, in 4.43 seconds.
Defensive lineman Everson Griffen also had a strong showing, running a 4.59 40 and doing well in agility drills.
