Top-seeded California advanced to a semifinal game against UCLA with a 90-74 victory over Oregon in the Pacific Life Pac-10 men’s basketball tournament Thursday at Staples Center.

Cal will play UCLA, a 75-69 winner Thursday over Arizona, on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Senior guard Jerome Randle, the Pac-10 player of the year, scored all of his 22 points in the first half as Cal built a 47-34 halftime lead that was never threatened.

Guard Patrick Christopher finished with 21 points, forward Jamal Boykin 15 for Cal.

The loss marked the final game for Oregon Coach Ernie Kent, who reportedly told players before the tournament that he would not return next season.
