Klein comes through with the save in UCLA’s 2-1 win

UCLA improved to 21-0 in baseball on Tuesday with a 2-1 victory over Pepperdine. Dan Klein struck out the side in the ninth for his fifth save. In 16 innings, he has 23 strikeouts and has yet to surrender a run.

Garett Claypool struck out nine and allowed two hits in 6 2/3 innings to pick up the victory.

UCLA scored its only runs in the fifth inning. The Bruins begin Pacific 10 Conference play on Thursday with a three-game home series against Stanford.
