Bob Miller, the voice of the Kings, is ill and will miss the broadcast of the Kings’ game against the Montreal Canadiens tonight at Staples Center.

According to a club spokesman, it will be only the 18th broadcast he will have missed and the first since Nov. 2, 2002.

Jim Fox and Daryl Evans will call the game on FS West and radio play-by-play announcer Nick Nickson will be joined by Rich Hammond, the Kings’ principal website reporter.

Here’s hoping Miller gets well soon and can return for the Kings’ game Monday at home against Columbus.
