Sparks will take on China’s national team in WNBA preseason game

The WNBA preseason schedule is out -- 15 games in 13 cities beginning April 30, including four games in which WNBA teams are matched up against the national teams of China and Poland.

The Sparks will be the first team to face China’s team; tipoff will be at Viejas Arena in San Diego on May 1. China next plays the San Antonio Silver Stars on May 4 in San Antonio and the Phoenix Mercury on May 8 in Phoenix.

The Connecticut Sun will face Poland’s national team on May 7 at Mohegan Sun Arena.

The regular season begins May 15 when the 2009 WNBA champion Phoenix Mercury hosts the Sparks at 11 a.m. PT on ESPN2.
