USC got some good news Wednesday when offensive lineman Seantrel Henderson, regarded as perhaps the top prospect in the nation, announced he would attend the school.
But Henderson’s father told the New York Times that his son would hold off signing a national letter of intent until after USC goes before the NCAA infractions committee later this month.
USC has been under investigation for lack of institutional control in connection with allegations that former football player Reggie Bush and former basketball player O.J. Mayo received extra benefits while they were playing for the Trojans.
