UCLA has handled Stanford’s Jeremy Green through the first half tonight by limiting his opportunities.

The trade off? Landry Fields had 15 points for the Cardinal, which took a 32-29 lead into the locker room at halftime. Fields made five of 10 shots, including a reverse dunk off Drew Shiller’s alley-oop pass with one minute left.

Fields came into game leading the conference in scoring with an average of 20.8 points. But Green, who also averages 20 points, had UCLA’s attention after a 30-point performance in Stanford’s 70-59 victory over the Bruins on Jan. 9.

Green didn’t score through the first 12 minutes of the game. He had five points in the half.

UCLA got an offensive boost from Michael Roll and Tyler Honeycutt in the first half. Roll had nine points, on three consecutive three-pointers late in the half. Honeycutt had six points and four assists. He also had a team-high six rebounds, blocked one shot and had a steal.
