Not a good NASCAR start for Danica Patrick

Danica Patrick will start today’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana from the 36th spot.

Her qualifying time was slower than Morgan Shepherd and Danny O’Quinn. Those two drivers went home because they do not have provisional starting spots based on owner points.

Joey Logano won the pole for the Nationwide race. His Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, Kyle Busch, will start alongside Logano on the front row.

The Nationwide Series race starts at 2:30 p.m.
