The Kings’ club-record winning streak is over at nine games, ended by their local rivals.

The Ducks’ 4-2 victory Monday night at the Honda Center was their first over the Kings in four games this season. Corey Perry had a goal and two assists for the Ducks and Jonas Hiller made 35 saves as the Ducks extended their home winning streak to 10 games, tying a club record set in 2008.

The Kings trailed, 4-2, entering the third period, but this time couldn’t muster another comeback. They have won when trailing after two periods six times this season, tying for the NHL lead.

The two points came at what might prove a high cost for the Ducks.

Ryan Getzlaf, their leading scorer and a member of Canada’s Olympic team, sprained his left ankle during the second period and did not return. X-rays were negative, with more tests scheduled Tuesday.
