The coaching carousel is spinning fast, but Ed Orgeron says he’s happy at USC.

Orgeron, of course, just arrived last week from Tennessee with new head Coach Lane Kiffin. But soon after Derek Dooley left Louisiana Tech to replace Kiffin in Knoxville, some fans began wondering whether Orgeron would be in the running to replace Dooley at Louisiana Tech.

Orgeron, a Louisiana native, has experience as a head coach. He left USC to become Mississippi’s coach in 2005 but was fired after three seasons.

Orgeron said he has not been contacted by Louisiana Tech and has no interest in that job or any other except the one he has at USC, where he is recruiting coordinator and defensive line coach.

‘I’m here at USC,’ Orgeron said. ‘We’re here to carry on the tradition and we have work to do. I hope to be here for a long time.’
