USC basketball: Awards show to cause road closures near Galen Center on Saturday

Those planning to attend Saturday night's USC-Washington men's basketball game at the Galen Center (7:30 tipoff) should pay heed:

The Shrine Auditorium is hosting the Screen Actors Guild Awards show that afternoon, and heavy traffic on and around USC's campus is expected throughout the day.

In response, the city's Department of Transportation has issued an advisory about the following road closures:

-- 32nd Street from Hoover Street east to Figueroa Street from 8 a.m. Saturday until 1 a.m. Sunday.

-- Jefferson Boulevard from Flower Street west to Hoover from approximately noon on Saturday until 1 a.m. Sunday.
