Final round is more of the same. Then Evans runs out of gas and gets rocked by punches and knees. For some reason, Silva walks away, letting Evans recover. Made no sense. Might have been able to knock him out or get a ref stoppage. Round is over. Round for Silva.

All three judges have it 29-28 for Evans.

Paul Daley d. Dustin Hazelett

Daley knocked Hazelett down with a hard left hook and the ref stopped it after two more punches on the ground. Daley then did some grandstanding and got booed by the crowd. Daley apologized while being interviewed in the ring by Joe Rogan and said Hazelett is a great submission fighter.

Sam Stout d. Joe Lauzon by unanimous decision

Lauzon opened a cut above Stout’s left eye in the first round with an elbow. Best fight of the night by far. Standing ovation at the end of the fight. Judges scored it 30-26, 30-27 and 30-27 for Stout.

Jim Miller d. Duane Ludwig via armbar in the first round.

Quick match, quick ending. There’s going to be a lot of time to kill on the PPV at this rate.

Junior dos Santos d. Gilbert Yvel via ref stoppage in the first round

Dos Santos knocked Yvel down with a left hook and landed about 10 unanswered blows when the ref stops it.

Martin Kampmann d. Jacob Volkmann via guillotine in the first round. A lot of action in the fight, with both guys taking punishment.

Cole Miller d. Dan Lauzon via submission to a Kimura

Lauzon took Miller down with about 2:45 left in the first round and locked in a Kimura.

Rafaello Oliveira d. John Gunderson via unanimous decision.

Jake Ellenberger d. Mike Pyle via knockout about 30 seconds into the second round.

Mark Munoz d. Ryan Jensen via tap out in first round. Ref missed the first tap out by Jensen, but saw the second one. It’s things like that that give MMA a bad name.

UFC 108 will be on PPV tonight at 7 p.m. PT. Main event, at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, is Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva. This is one of the least-anticipated UFC cards in recent memory, but often times the least-anticipated produce the best fights.
