Santa Anita cancels its race card for Thursday

Santa Anita announced today that it has canceled its race card for Thursday because of continuing rain and drainage issues with its Pro-Ride track.
A decision whether to resume racing on Friday will be made Thursday morning. Track officials are not optimistic because more rain is expected.
‘For now, we’re going to evaluate the main track on a day-by-day basis, and safety is of course our No. 1 priority,’ Santa Anita President Ron Charles said.
Santa Anita will be open for simulcast wagering on Thursday. The winter meeting runs through April 18.
