Pete Sampras disappointed by Andre Agassi's comments in book

Pete Sampras It appears the old rivalry between tennis legends Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi is flaring up again.

Sampras told reporters today that he was surprised and disappointed over comments Agassi made in his recently published autobiography, "Open."

The 14-time Grand Slam champion said he wants to sit down with Agassi "man to man" and talk about the "shots" Agassi has made against him in the book. Agassi describes Sampras as a player who had a "lack of inspiration" and who was the complete opposite of him. More notably, the book describes Agassi's use of crystal meth at one point in his career.

Sampras, who retired from professional tennis in 2003, is scheduled to play in a Feb. 8 exhibition match against Spain's Fernando Verdasco during the SAP Open in San Jose.
