It’s sunny, wait, it’s rainy, but at least there’s golf at Bob Hope Classic

After falling into a tie for the lead at nine-under-par, Bob Hope Classic first-round leader Shane Bertsch just birdied his ninth hole today in the second round (which had been rained out Thursday). Bertsch is even par so far today and at 10-under for the 90-hole tournament. A shot back is Alex Prugh, who is making only his third PGA Tour start. Prugh is through four holes of the Palmer Private course, the same course Bertsch is playing.

Chris DeMarco just holed out from 94 yards on the 14th hole of the Palmer Private course for an eagle, and Carl Pettersson has the best back-nine score of the day so far, a 33 on the Palmer Private course. Yep, so far all the fun stuff is happening at Palmer.

By the way, the amateurs and celebrities had to sit out today’s round. The pros have all gone out in twosomes, the hope being that they will all get their second rounds completed today -- because it doesn’t seem to have stopped raining for good.
