Bob Hope Classic golf second round rained out

The second round of the Bob Hope Classic golf tournament has been rained out. The morning began with a two-hour delay in tee times but with the rain still heavy and many patches of standing water on all four courses in the Coachella Valley that were to be used, it was decided to send the golfers home.

No decision has been made yet on whether the 90-hole tournament will be continued into Monday. The next PGA Tour stop is in La Jolla so golfers would be able to make it easily to the next event.

Shane Bertsch had a two-shot lead after Wednesday’s first round.
