UCLA offensive coordinator Norm Chow said he has no interest in the San Jose State head coach job. Spartans Coach Dick Tomey retired, and the San Jose Mercury News reported that Chow is on the preliminary list of candidates. But Chow said he has not been contacted by San Jose State officials and intends to remain at UCLA.

Chow spent the last two seasons at UCLA, overseeing a marked improvement in the Bruins offense. UCLA finished the regular season with a 6-6 record and is waiting to see whether a bowl invitation is forthcoming.
