Tommy Johnson returns to NHRA
Tommy Johnson, a 10-time winner in National Hot Rod Assn. events, posted on his LinkedIn page that he has joined Don Schumacher Racing as a top-fuel driver.
Johnson, who did not race full time in the NHRA in 2009, won his last NHRA race in funny cars in 2007 at Englishtown, N.J.
Don Schumacher Racing has a two-car top-fuel team and a three-car funny-car team. Tony Schumacher recently won his sixth NHRA top- fuel championship in a row and his seventh overall.
