Luke Walton to fill in for announcer Mychal Thompson

Luke Injured Lakers forward Luke Walton will work the radio microphone for Mychal Thompson, who will miss the Lakers games on Friday against Minnesota and Saturday at Utah. Thompson will miss the games because of a death in the family, the team said.

Another Lakers broadcast sub will be "Hot" Rod Hundley, an ex-Laker and longtime Jazz broadcaster, who will fill in for TV commentator Stu Lantz.

Lantz will miss six Lakers games this month while his wife recovers from surgery.

Walton is recovering from an injured back and has not played since Nov. 13.
