The Kings, whose next game isn’t until Dec. 26, today assigned four players to the Manchester Monarchs, the team’s AHL affiliate, to get them more playing time during this eight-day holiday break.

They are defenseman Alec Martinez, winger Scott Parse and centers Oscar Moller and Corey Elkins.

The Kings also activated forward Ryan Smyth, who has been out with a rib injury since Nov. 16.
