Right wing Justin Williams underwent surgery Monday on his right ankle, which he injured Saturday after being hit by Phoenix defenseman Ed Jovanovski and falling awkwardly.

A Kings spokesman said the anticipated recovery time is 12 weeks following the procedure, which was performed by Dr. Ken Jung of Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic.
