Tiger Woods in the Dodgers' divorce saga? Well ...

Woods_240 This is not just a headline shamelessly written to generate web traffic. Turns out, according to this report from the London Times, that Tiger Woods' wife has hired a divorce lawyer.

Not just any divorce lawyer, mind you. The report says Elin Nordegren has hired Los Angeles attorney Sorrell Trope, whose "celebrity clients" have included Cary Grant, Nicole Kidman and Britney Spears.

In our little corner of the world, Trope is currently representing Frank McCourt in the Dodgers' divorce drama. The London Times report has not been confirmed, but we can say this about Trope: His services cost a pretty penny.

In yesterday's court hearing in the divorce proceedings between Frank and Jamie McCourt, during a discussion of spousal support and attorney fees, the lawyer for Jamie McCourt said Trope's firm had charged $239,000 for work during the month of November alone. Dennis Wasser, the lawyer for Jamie McCourt, said two other firms had charged a combined $461,000 in November for work on behalf of Frank McCourt.

Wasser did not say how much his firm had charged for its work on behalf of Jamie McCourt.
