General Manager Ned Colletti said this morning that the Dodgers would offer arbitration to all of the arbitration-eligible players under their control, including outfielder Jason Repko. Repko could be the Dodgers’ fourth outfielder if they manage to trade Juan Pierre this winter.

Colletti said he has no hesitation offering arbitration to Russell Martin, who could earn about $5 million next season, and Hong-Chih Kuo, who has undergone four elbow operations. Of Kuo in particular, Colletti said, “Have you ever seen the guy pitch? Would you let him go?”

Also:

  • The Dodgers lost Jamie Hoffmann, who was selected by the Yankees with the first pick of the major-league phase of the Rule 5 draft.
  • The Dodgers lost outfielder James Tomlin in the minor-league phase of the draft.
  • The Dodgers sent cash to the New York Mets for their pick in the Rule 5 draft, 23-year-old right-hander Carlos Monasterios. Monasterios was 5-6 with 3.73 earned-run average between the Class A and AA affiliates of the Philadelphia Phillies this year.
  • Colletti had nothing new to report on the trade or free-agent front.
