A CBS official told The Times today that the network will air another Strikeforce mixed martial arts card in April, with bouts tentatively scheduled to feature Fedor Emelianenko and Temecula’s Dan Henderson in separate fights.

‘We were pleased with the quality of the card, the advertising sales and the ratings for the last broadcast,’ CBS spokesman Chris Ender wrote in an e-mail.

More than 5 million viewers were watching the debut Strikeforce card on CBS in November, when Emelianenko knocked out Brett Rogers.

Earlier this month, Strikeforce landed Henderson, the former Ultimate Fighting Championship title contender who pounded Britain’s Michael Bisping in an impressive bout at UFC 100. Henderson previously lost to UFC light-heavyweight champs Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and middleweight champ Anderson Silva.

Ender said the plan for now is to place Emelianenko and Henderson on the card, although opponents are not yet determined.
