Just got off the phone with Angels General Manager Tony Reagins, who said he has not been told by either Chone Figgins or his representatives that Figgins has decided to sign with the Seattle Mariners.

‘They told me they’re very close to making a decision one way or the other,’ Reagins said. ‘We’ve made an offer. They’ve had a chance to evaluate it.’
Reagins declined to discuss the Angels’ offer, reportedly for three years and $24 million. The Mariners reportedly offered four years at close to $36 million.

ESPN ace reporter Shannon Drayer, who follows the Mariners daily, reported the Figgins deal is ‘all but done’ with Seattle.
