The UCLA basketball team can point toward its season opener against Cal State Fullerton resting a little easier after a relatively straightforward 74-57 victory over Humboldt State at Pauley Pavilion on Tuesday night.

It wasn’t exactly a blowout, Humboldt State keeping within 10 for much of the game, but it was better than last week’s scare against Concordia.

The Bruins had four players in double figures, led by Michael Roll with 17 points and Nikola Dragovic with 13. Point guard Jerime Anderson seemed bothered by some kind of soreness in his right leg but played for much of the game.

Humboldt State, ranked 21st in the Division II Coaches Poll, was led by Brian Morris with 19 points and Kyle Baxter with 15.
