I've always had my second top player in Pau and I hope he can get back effectively with the main five peeps as soon as possible. His play is vital to allow Kobe a whole lot of more freedom, options, spaces and solutions. He's capable of greatness, he's smart player with foresight, intuition, clever moves and he understand dynamics of the moment brilliantly. Anyone here can't be' blind towards Pau's importance in everything that Lakers are and must be. Pau is just badly needed by us to raise again up where we belong. On top.

1 Kobe (skills, huevos)
2 Pau (skills)
3 Lamar (versatility, matchups)
4 Fish (heart, big shots, game-deciding steals)
5 Drew (size, skills, potential)

I agree with everything the first commenter said about Pau. I think he's got further upside, especially as a power forward. His passing is underrated, and he is figuring out how to deal with roughnecks who want to use violence against his incredible skills.

Anybody notice that Trevor is tearing it up? Can't wait to play against my favorite modern Laker on Wednesday. I still dream of him firing his stupid agent and coming back to the Lakers.

I agree that Pau is the second most "valuable" Laker, but the second most talented Laker is Lamar. So versatile, and when his head is right he can dominate...especially on the glass and in the open court.

Did you really have to ask this question?

What a stupid question, we can do better then that. I know you have much more insights and questions for the fans stimulation.

Pau will be for sure HOF. He is World Champion with Spain and MVP, European Champion and MVP, champion in Spain with F.C. Barcelona (ligue and King Cup) Pau Gasol is a winner for every team by his work. For my, Pau is 4-5 best player in the world (Kobe, Lebron, Pierce, Gasol and Garnett) All L.A. is behind Kobe but Pau Gasol is the Key player. With Kobe alongside GAsol is not better. Pau did the same things now and early in Barcelona and Memphis. Not is Pau better with Kobe, is Kobe better with Pau. Who is the second most valuable player laker??? Gasol is the FIRST.

Go Lakers and congratulations from Barcelona.

barcelona, take it easy... I´m also spanish but you must be kidding¡¡¡¡¡ He is important and as some trainers said last year, Pau is the secound most important player in any nba team, but to be better than kobe.... Even so, the asnwer is clear, he´s important for the team, important for the quemistry of the team and also important for the trainer. Yhe only thing that scares me is that he is not going to be back at least until december (you´ll see...) and it´s going to be an important problem for the lakers...

Hi blogger Barcelona,

Thank you for your support, but not even I would pick Pau over Kobe.

Paul Gasol is 2nd best on this team. easy question and answer. To Barcelona: seriously, don't be dumb.

It's Pau Gasol...he is a very good passer and rebounder and he can also play center if needed. Lamar Odom may be more talented because he can play more positions, but Pau is the guy...The Lakers would not have won the title last season without him.

I don't like the question because all those guys played their key roles for making our team great!!! Barcelona: please don't ever say that anyone is more valuable than Kobe. Especially not active players anywhere in the league. That would be great if you can just not do that anymore, thanks.

2 questions:

-9% of voters choose "other", who can they possibly be talking about? Phil Jackson?

-How is it possible for 19% of the voters to believe D Fish is the 2nd most valuable Laker?

Pau Gasol. Enough said!!

Does this question really deserve a poll? Really?

I think Gasol is 2nd and Bynum is 3rd,whoever voted for Fisher even in the top 10 is crazy,I like D Fish but he is the worst starting point guard in the league, hands down,if not who's worse,he hasn't attempted a single foul shot yet after 5 games already, anybody can hit a few big shots if given as many opportunities as he has, lets be real. Farmar for starting point guard WAKE UP LA !
