Ron Artest talks Pacquiao-Cotto

Lakers forward Ron Artest stopped by Manny Pacquiao's workout at Wild Card Gym in Hollywood recently and talked to The Times about the Pacquiao bout Saturday vs. world welterweight champion Miguel Cotto at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Artest said he'll try to attend the fight between a road game Friday at Denver and a Sunday night home game, and elaborated on why pro athletes follow the fight game.

The fight will draw three members of the world-champion New York Yankees, pitcher CC Sabathia, catcher Jorge Posada and shortstop Derek Jeter. New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs and defensive lineman Osi Umenyiora are also expected, along with Magic Johnson.
