Clippers update: Honors for Chris Kaman

It seems to be all Chris Kaman, all the time, and there are still hours to go before tonight's Clippers game against New Orleans.

Clipperslogo Got up this morning and was greeted by lots of gushing about Kaman on NBA-TV. Message to fantasy owners: Don't trade him!

Then came more tangible recognition at midday. The NBA recognized Kaman as the Western Conference Player of the Week. Kaman is averaging 23 points through the first seven games of the season. He has scored 20 or more points in the last six games, a career-high stretch.

This all can be traced to a summer of hard work -- and Kaman building an indoor basketball court at his home in western Michigan.

If you build it, he will score ... and rebound.
