More than NASCAR on Hornaday’s mind

Ron Hornaday Jr., the leader in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series standings, sent a prayer and good thoughts to Ft. Hood, Texas, site of a deadly shooting Thursday.

After qualifying fourth for the Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway, Hornaday said he was thinking about the tragic rampage at the nearby Army outpost.

Matt Crafton won the pole for the race, his second of the season. Crafton is in second place in the Truck Series standings, 202 points behind Hornaday.
