Tomas Vokoun suffers bizarre injury in Panthers game

Goaltending in the NHL is hazardous enough without having to worry about your own teammates hurting you.

But Florida Panthers goalie Tomas Vokoun on Monday suffered a lacerated ear after being hit in the left side of the head by the stick of a frustrated teammate during the team's game against the Atlanta Thrashers.

According to the Panthers' web site, Vokoun was taken to a hospital in Atlanta for treatment.
