UCLA will start Kevin Prince at quarterback against Oregon State on Saturday, those inside the program said. Coach Rick Neuheisel said Sunday night that the coaches would “continue to evaluate our options.” After meeting with offensive coordinator Norm Chow today, the best option was determined to be Prince.

Prince completed seven of 15 passes for 60 yards in a 27-13 loss to Arizona before being pulled early in the second half. Kevin Craft came in and completed six of 15 passes for 75 yards, then was replaced by Richard Brehaut, who completed two of three passes.

Prince won the job in the spring, but suffered a fractured jaw against Tennessee in the second game of the season. He missed four weeks, but has started the last three games.
