A little more than a week before the start of practice, UCLA forward James Keefe -- one of the team’s few returning upperclassmen -- has injured his shoulder.

Keefe dislodged his left shoulder on Tuesday night. He had injured it before, suffering a torn labrum in 2007-08 that forced him to miss 12 games.

After initial X-rays were negative, the senior underwent an MRI and the team expects to receive results later this afternoon.

Sophomore guard Jerime Anderson has been nursing a sore groin -- similar to the injury he suffered last season -- but is expected to be ready for practices, which begin Oct. 16.

Incoming freshman Tyler Honeycutt, who arrived in Westwood with a spinal stress fracture, has been running in workouts and appears to be healing well, Coach Ben Howland said.
