Not so fast, Oregon.

In response to Oregon Coach Chip Kelly saying Friday he might lift the season-long suspension of senior tailback LeGarrette Blount, the Pacific 10 Conference released a statement saying any reinstatement would have to come from the league office.

Here’s the statement from Pac-10 Commissioner Larry Scott:

The University of Oregon may appeal to the Conference for a reduction in the original disciplinary actions taken against LeGarrette Blount. The power to reinstate rests with the Conference, and if and when the university decides to make such an appeal, the Conference will take the matter under advisement and make a decision.
