Matt Kenseth and David Ragan, drivers for Roush Fenway Racing, will have new Ford engines for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama in a couple weeks.

While this is an exciting time for Ford and its NASCAR teams, there’s not a lot for stock car racing fans to get excited about. Ford is touting new oil systems, exhausts, valvetrains and cooling components. The engines are supposed to be more reliable. There is nothing mentioned about the new engines that will make the cars go any faster.
