Who doesn’t want to watch college basketball teams not practice and do it at midnight?

So for you, ESPNU is offering its ‘whip-around coverage’ (their phrase, not ours) of Midnight Madness Friday. ESPNU will have four hours of television coverage (it’s always midnight somewhere!). Never fear, those of you who don’t get ESPNU. ESPN2 will simulcast half an hour. ESPNU’s coverage is from 6 to 10 p.m. Pacific time -- wait, it’s not even midnight at all here -- and ESPN2 will go from 8:30 to 9 p.m.

Here are the teams to see: defending national champion North Carolina, Michigan State, North Dakota State, Kansas, Kentucky, Duke, Washington, Georgetown and Connecticut. So it looks like Washington will not be actually having midnight madness. Only madness.
