Lakers' Pau Gasol to miss Friday's game

October 29, 2009 |  4:36 pm

Lakers forward Pau Gasol missed practice again today because of his strained right hamstring and the team said that Gasol also will not play in Friday night's game against the Dallas Mavericks at Staples Center.

However, the Lakers said they hope Gasol will be able to play Sunday, in the team's third game of the season, when they host the Atlanta Hawks.

Gasol has been bothered by the hamstring injury for more than two weeks and he missed the Lakers' last six exhibition games.

Pau will be missed but it will the Lakers another chance to see Andrew Bynum in action as the lone bigman inside for the team. He proved himself more than capable the other night against the Clippers and I am sure he will hold his own against Nowitski and the Mavs in the up and coming thriller.

So much for the "depth" the Spurs gained by adding Jefferson, McDyess and the "steal" of DeJuan Blair.... they get busted by a Bulls team.... loved to see Pop's face at the end game, you could have grilled a ham on it :)
