Lakers' Brown excites crowd with dunk

October 7, 2009 |  8:24 pm

Shannon Brown produced the most spectacular play of the game and it happened late in the second quarter Wednesday night.

Fabforum Brown began the play by stealing a pass intended for Golden State's Corey Maggette down low.

Brown then raced up court, took off from just inside the free-throw line and threw down a one-handed dunk over Warriors center Mikki Moore, who fell to the ground.

Brown's Lakers teammates leaped off their seats on the bench. The fans inside the Honda Center in Anaheim stood and cheered.

Brown, who hit the ground after his dunk, sat on the court and clapped his hands three times.

During a timeout, a fan in the stands yelled at Moore, "You got dunked on."

Moore responded, "It happens."

Best dunk of the year, and it's only the 1st pre-season game. Reminds me of Kobe on Wallace, it was the best dunk of the year, they still play it in Top 10 Dunks of All Time despite it being a 'meaningless' preseason game.

It only happens when you're mikki moore. :)

I stood up at home!

I jumped up cheering and couldn't stop laughing...it was great!

WWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW most amzing dunk

He flew into the air! Shannon has wings on his shoes!

This guy always amazes me with his springs, especially in the playoffs last year against the Denver Nuggets. He needs to be entered into the slam dunk contest this season!

Bein stuck just outside the fringe in northern ohio i dint get to see footage of this monster dunk. Is there a You Tube of it somewhere or maybe a newsreel video?
