Dustin Brown remains Kings’ captain, with Anze Kopitar and Matt Greene as alternates

The Kings’ captain and alternate captains for the season, as chosen by Coach Terry Murray, will be the same as last season. Right wing Dustin Brown will wear the C, with center Anze Kopitar and defenseman Matt Greene each having an A sewn onto their jerseys.

‘Brownie as the captain, I really thought he did a great job with his growing into that role last year,’ Murray said today. ‘You take a look at what they did in the summertime. In particular it was Brownie and Greener calling the guys up in the month of July and getting the response they got. It was like 15 players came in to work out throughout the month of July and that’s great stuff. That’s leadership right there.

‘All three of them handled their work last year and did a good job on the leadership side of it.’
