Ducks recall Justin Pogge after Jean-Sebastien Giguere aggravates injury

The Ducks today said they recalled goaltender Justin Pogge from the Bakersfield Condors, Anaheim’s development affiliate in the ECHL, after Jean-Sebastien Giguere aggravated a groin injury Saturday night. The Ducks host the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight and Jonas Hiller will be in goal.

Ducks-logo Pogge, 23, was first recalled last Wednesday but reassigned back to the Condors later that day. He has  appeared in four games with the Condors this season, posting a 2-1-0 record with a 2.10 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage.

He recorded a shutout in Bakersfield’s season opener, stopping all 15 shots he faced in a 5-0 victory on Oct. 16 against the Ontario Reign, the Kings' ECHL affiliate.

Look for Robyn Norwood's game coverage later tonight on latimes.com/sports.
