The Angels have invited Tim Salmon to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before tomorrow’s must-win game against the New York Yankees.

The Angels need to win tomorrow to force the American League championship series back to New York and need to win three consecutive games to advance to the World Series.

Salmon, the Angels’ all-time leader in home runs, was the star of the first World Series victory in club history. He hit two home runs -- one the game-winner -- in an 11-10 victory over the San Francisco Giants, in Game 2 of the 2002 World Series.
