Vladimir Guerrero has been roasted around town for two days now, after he went 1 for 7 in Game 2 of the American League Championship Series. He left the bases loaded once and left two runners on base twice, but Angels Manager Mike Scioscia refused to drop Guerrero out of the cleanup spot.

‘I don’t see where shuffling the pieces right now shows us anything that’s going to move us forward,’ Scioscia said.

The Angels are batting .154 in the first two games of this series. Torii Hunter has three hits. Guerrero has two. No one else has more than one. No one has a home run, although Guerrero came the closest, with a double off CC Sabathia in Game 1, one that would have been a home run had a stiff wind not held it up.

‘We need more guys to get going,’ Scioscia said. ‘If they were, you might be presented with some options that made sense.’
