Not a good sign. It was a bright and sunny morning, but it is a gray and cloudy afternoon.

The Yankees moved their workout Thursday from 1 p.m. to 11 a.m. in the hope of getting on the field before the rains come. The latest forecast calls for a 30% chance of rain at 11 a.m., a 60% chance at 1 p.m. and at least a 70% chance well into Friday morning -- so the Angels pretty much have no chance of working out on the field Thursday.

Game 1 of the American League Championship Series is scheduled Friday, with Game 2 set for Saturday. But this long-term forecast suggests the next clear day in New York might not come until Tuesday, which could mean lots of rain delays and long nights at the ballpark, and perhaps a rainout could cost the Yankees the chance to use CC Sabathia three times in a seven-game series.
