USC football: Trojans might have to weather more than Buckeyes

USC could run into more than a tough crowd on Saturday night at Ohio State.

The Trojans also might have to deal with weather issues.

According to forecasts, there is a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms in Columbus on Saturday night.

USC and rain in Columbus kind of go hand in hand.

The last time the Trojans played at Ohio Stadium, on Sept. 29, 1990, USC won, 35-26, in a game that was suspended with 2 minutes 36 seconds left because of a severe weather conditions, including torrential rains, thunder and lightning

USC rushed for 331 yards in the game and the The Times’ story the next day featured a terrific headline that referenced Trojans history and the weather: ‘Thundering Heard, USC Wins.’
