UFC 103 live updates

Rich Franklin vs. Vitor Belfort

Fans start booing midway through the first round because nothing is happening. Suddenly, Belfort connects with a flurry of punches and knocks Franklin down. He follows up and ref stops it.

Mirko Cro Cop vs. Junior Dos Santos: Cro Cop is a huge crowd favorite.  Dos Santos wins the first two round easily, bloodying Cro Cop. In the third round, dos Santos gave Cro Cop a hard knee to the stomach, then connects with eight knees in a row. Cro Cop gets punched in the face, says somthing to the ref, who stops the fight. Body punch by Dos Santos.  Kick by Cro Cop.  Hard knee coming in by Dos Sanos.  Cro Cop almost slipped.  Another knee by Dos Santos to the stomach.  Another knee.  Body punch and knee.  Cro Cop really taking it.  Hard knee and punch that connected.  Another hard knee.  Another knee.  Another knee.  Another knee.  Cro Cop said was punched in the eye and looked like he was having trouble seeing and ref Dan Miragliotta stopped it. Cro Cop verbally gave up.

Junior dos Santos d. Mirko Cro Cop, verbal submission, third round.

Martin Kampmann vs. Paul Daley: Kampman tried a takedown and didn't get it. Daley connected with two solid punches.  Daley hurts Kampamn with a right, then traps him against the cage and delivers about nine unanswered blows before the ref stops the fight. Kampmann is mad, thinking they stopped the fight early, but the ref made the right call.

Josh Koscheck vs. Frank Trigg: About 1:30 into the first round, Koscheck drops Trigg with a right hook to the chin. Trigg was unable to defend himself while down, and the ref stopped the fight.

Hermes Franca vs. Tyson Griffin: Boring first round, then the two fighters came out swinging in Round 2.  Griffin dropped Franca with a straight right hand then pummelled him with strikes, eventually forcing referee Dan Miragliotta to call a stop to the bout.

Not only is  there a big fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Juan Manuel Marquez tonight, but UFC presents UFC 103 live on pay-per-view also.

Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort faces Rich Franklin in the main event. Also featured is the controversial Mirko Cro Cop taking on artist Junior Dos Santos.
