The Lakers signed free-agent Thomas Kelati to a non-guaranteed contract today, bringing the roster total to 18 players.

Kelati, a 6-foot-5 guard, played last season in Spain, where he averaged 11.8 points.

He played four years at Washington State.

Sasha, Jordan, Fisher, Brown & now Kelita mean only one thing, a trade in in the process & my guess is Jordan along with maybe Walton (I hope) will be leaving the team very soon.... (If we are really lucky Mitch is working on a blockbuster trade with LA dumping Bynum the lug among with Walton...

Marty

whooo ??

"Bynum the lug"

Think Martyz needs a few more zzzzz's after his name cuz dude is obviously asleep.

yeah, you lucky guys, Kelati is underestimated, with potential to beat Kobe, u'll see. Phil maked a sign of the decade with Kelati. Greetz form Poland!

Where is Pao from?.....oh ya. Look out Jordan and Sasha looks like you might be out of minutes.I'm so glad the weakness of this team has been addressed. I was worried that Mitch and Phil were playing and praying the "hoping they'll get better" game. Moves are still out there.....great job Mitch.

Cool I guess, and for the people who want Bynum gone, he's ONLY 22! And as long as Kobe wants him there he's not going anywhere, think before you speak.

I like how people don't read to or pay attention to key points in articles like "NON-GUARANTEED CONTRACT", which means it's basicly a training camp invite. He doesn't get paid until he ends up on the opening day regular season roster.

And as much as I want to address the ignorant ship Bynum out posts thats a whole story in and of it's self.

So for those of you who won't bother to read this is my point

This dude = training camp fodder.

training camp fodder. Kelita has longer-odds to win a job than I do to win the California Lottery, and I didn't even buy a lotto ticket!

While all you guys keep arguing over who gets dropped, or how we need to lose Farmar and Walton, you forget the one lesson that it seems the Lakers have finally learned: Young players = sucsess! Bryant, Bynum, Ariza, and Vujacic, all were young when they came to the Lakers, and if you look at the numbers now, there is no reason they shouldn't have won the championship!

Oh, oh, oh... You guys, don't you remember who is world champion? Spain, isn't it? Kelati was FIRST PAGE STAR in both spanish ACB and Euroleague. Don't make a mistake with putting this diamond away. Vujacic, Farmar, other Kobe's backups? To hell with them... Just search youtube for Kelati. And celebrate. 'Cause Phil knows very well what's going on.
