Lakers add players to camp roster

The Lakers have added four more players to their training camp roster, bringing the total to 17 players.

They signed forwards Tony Gaffney, David Monds, Mickael Gelabale and Michael Fey. All have to make the team for their contracts to be guaranteed. Gaffney is a 6-8 undrafted forward out of Massachusetts who averaged 11.5 points and 10.2 rebounds as a senior last season.

Monds is a 6-9 forward who played at Oklahoma State. He played on the Lakers’ 2009 summer league team, where he averaged 14 points and 5.2 rebounds.

Gelabale, a 6-7 forward from France, spent two seasons (2006-08) playing with the Seattle SuperSonics, where he averaged 4.5 points and 2.1 rebounds. Gelabale played last season for the Lakers’ D-Fenders team in the NBA D-League.

Fey, a 7-0 forward/center out of UCLA, played last season for Al Shabab (United Arab Emirates).
